Overview

Azura prides itself on being one-of-a-kind. This could not be more true with our current development model. This is a well-thought-out medium where meaningful content can reach our dedicated audience.

We were established to fill a void in publishing; this is an adaptable platform intent on creating something lasting.

We are not just a serial publication. Azura has extended its reach into creative development with Azura Labs. Our methods of promotion involve a traditional setting with a modern twist, capitalising on the rising depths of social media.

WHAT MAKES AZURA UNIQUE IS ITS PERSPECTIVE ON SUBJECTS OF INTEREST AND OUR EMERGING DIGITAL SUBCULTURE.

Azura Avenue

Azura Avenue is a new department within Azura that addresses creative and intellectual growth. Since Azura is primarily known for producing great content with easy readability, we have expanded into helping others create high-quality materials.

This inventive new addition allows creatives to receive one-on-one coaching, mentorship and guidance with the Azura team. We don't just leave you hanging. Our ongoing support specialises in assisting in structure, contextual and mechanical editing, and design.

About The Magazine

Azura is a digital magazine driven by content. This monthly magazine was made to fill a void in the publishing industry: something modern, informative and stylish.

Azura fixates on creating content that should enrich the career-focused individuals. As the population increases, so does the demand for alternative media in the region. We are here to provide that.

A business lifestyle magazine should not only cater to the entrepreneurial side of life. The magazine is divided into four (4) categories: Living, Style, Wellness and Productivity. Each category features content that should provide “food for thought” in all aspects of life.

Who's Reading?

This magazine was made for career-focused millennials. Our readers are mostly college-educated and focused on their career. These men and women are around the ages of 18-35 years old and they are looking to feed their entrepreneurial spirit and create a work-life balance.

There are many publications that spring to life, yet, they all disappear in a short time. There is a push for entrepreneurship and independent businesses in the region. Yet, publications do not create a platform for career-minded individuals where they can explore productive materials. While there are many publications that focus on the economic and developmental side of business, there are none that foster a culture of business.

Instead of looking only at the technical aspects of industry, creating a culture of support and knowledge can foster an entrepreneurial spirit. This would assist active professionals in their endeavours.

The Culture Of Business

Where the culture of a society is the way of life: music, food, philosophy, etc., the culture of a business is the manner of operation, entrepreneurial spirit, philosophy and support. By nurturing these elements, a better environment for development will be curated.

We Do Not Suffer From Location Paralysis

Azura promises to remain completely digital. Not only should our content be read with ease, but also be easily accessible. The use of the internet is quite frequent, especially amongst millennials. Our digital format makes us reachable in all corners of the world.

Part of what makes Azura unique is the fact that the publication is not tethered to one location entirely. By remaining digital, we retain a higher reach.

Do With Deliberation

Azura was made to be readable because good content should be engaging, inclusive and not feel like a chore.

Niche business magazines do not always write for the masses. Make no mistake, we do not “dumb down” content. Big ideas can be expressed clearly and simply. The concise manner in which our content is written makes for effective communication. Our writers and featured contributors maintain a casual writing style and well-organised thoughts.

COMPLEX THOUGHTS CAN BE SIMPLE

Intentional Design

Content in a magazine is much more than its text; magazines are a visual medium. Our design takes many things into consideration, legibility is one of them. In a time when most people spend their time on their electronic devices, it is practical to make content easy on the eyes.

Each monthly magazine centres on a theme, an abstract title that forms the basis of what the issue’s content will be. Since Azura's debut with The Sky Issue, we have continued to create themes that are thought-provoking.

MEDIA IS EVER-CHANGING

Media today is not what it was 20 years ago, 5 years ago, or even 2 years ago. It has evolved since its conception and it will continue to do so. Right now, we have seen the popularity of “fast media” that has changed our perception of content.

Fast Media

Fast media is exactly what it sounds like. The onslaught of this meant that whoever puts information out there must do so at a rapid rate. But, there might be a decline in quality where there is pressure to produce content like a factory.

Media-on-demand has become a staple in our lives, since the start of the internet. Now with the heavy prevalence of social media, we can see the effects are more pronounced. Publications have a hard time creating valuable stories because trends are seasonal.

AZURA DOES NOT CHASE TRENDS; WE BUILD STORIES

Relevant content does not need to follow fads. Relevant content is timeless and should set a standard, not helplessly follow trends.

Become More

These are not relegated to only being print serial publications. Magazines are supposed to be engaging. Digital magazines have become more prominent in recent years. Digital magazines aren’t uncommon either, but unfortunately, they have a high fatality rate.

As much as these are many new publications that enjoy the attention of getting past the first issue, many do not follow a model that guarantees longevity. Ultimately, it boils down to the survival of the fittest. The most adaptable model will be able to withstand a constantly changing publishing environment.

The demand for specific types of content changes with the progression of the audience. With the current fixation on social media, it is only logical to look towards it as a way of keeping your audience engaged. Azura is more than a magazine – it is a digital playground of ideas.
